Interested in learning about flower pressing? In this 2-hour class you will learn the basics of flower pressing and gain hands-on experience doing so. Learn about picking the right plants for pressing, how to load your press, different methods of pressing and how to store your pressed flowers. We will also practice mounting pressed flowers by creating a miniature pressed flower artwork using Hemlock House Studio pressed flowers.

The class includes:

  • A Hemlock House Studio Flower Pressing Kit including a handmade 4x4” mini oakwood flower press, scissors, tweezers, flower storage envelopes and a Hemlock House instructional booklet.
  • Fresh flowers for pressing.
  • 2 hours of instruction.
  • Cool drinks and light refreshments!

All classes are located at the Child of Llewellyn studio on Camano Island near the bridge. It is a private studio and the address will be provided via email before the class date. Classes are non-refundable but can be transferred to another person if cancellation is required.

If a minimum number of registrants is not met, class will be canceled with at least 48 hours notice and all pre-paid class fees will be refunded.

This craft workshop is a partnership between Camano Island creatives, Alyse Combs of Child of Llewellyn and Samantha Wagner of Hemlock House Studio.

Live in the greater Seattle area and want to take our classes?
Our studio is just a 55 mile drive from the city center. We suggest making a day trip of it! Bring a friend and start your day with a sit down breakfast at the Cama Beach Cafe or head to Camano Commons for delicious croissants or *the best* breakfast sandwiches from The Baked Cafe. Then walk off your full belly at the scenic and historic Barnum Point or Iverson Spit. Before heading to our beautiful studio we recommend you include a quick shopping interlude. Melissa at the Camano Shop offers an ever-changing selection of beautiful clothing, decor and gifts. We recommend snagging a cozy (and coveted) Camano sweatshirt or hat.
